Social Content Editor

You are the kind of person who notices the cut. The pacing. The hook. The moment something either lands... or doesn’t.

You think in edits. You know how to build energy, create rhythm and hold attention — and you care about getting the details right. Not just technically, but creatively.

Our client is looking for a Social Content Editor to join their Auckland team and help bring social-first ideas to life through sharp, platform-native execution. This role is for you if you thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and take pride in crafting content that feels relevant, polished and made for the platform it lives on.

The agency:

A social-first agency helping brands Own the Moment. They exist at the intersection of culture, creativity and speed - helping brands shape behaviour and command attention in the places it matters most. With offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland, they are big believers in building a culture where people feel empowered, supported and proud of the work they do.

What you will be doing:

  • Bringing social ideas to life; from ideation through to filming, editing and publishing content across paid and organic channels
  • Developing social-first content that aligns to brand strategy; adapting ideas across platforms like TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts
  • Planning and managing content calendars; ensuring work is delivered on time, on brief and to a high standard
  • Capturing and producing content; including shoot coordination, talent direction and creating platform-native assets
  • Collaborating with creatives, designers and client services; contributing to ideas and delivering integrated campaign work
  • Presenting and explaining your thinking; helping clients understand how content connects to broader strategy
  • Tracking performance and learning from it; using insights to refine and improve future Content

You have 2+ years of experience in video editing, social content or a creative role; ideally within an agency or fast-paced environment.

You are highly skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro (essential), with working knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop. You have a strong understanding of short-form video and what drives attention, retention and engagement. You are detail-oriented and take pride in clean, polished edits and are organised and able to manage multiple deadlines and revisions simultaneously. You are collaborative, open to feedback and able to iterate quickly and are culturally aware and keep up with trends, formats and platform behaviours.
