Following on from our sold-out CURVY event at VIVID Ideas in June, this November 3rd CURVY is running a special ‘industry insider’ event in Sydney for young women in creative industries to connect, share and learn with each other.

So much of the vision and spectacle upon which creative industries turn is cultivated by women, whose passion for media, business, creativity, technology, community and breakthrough ideas is what drives their work, and inspires ours.

We see evidence of their innovation every day, but so rarely do these women clamour for the limelight that an opportunity to hear them speak is a precious one. By sharing their smarts they encourage other creative women to unlock their own strengths, talents and capacity to influence change.

And although the names involved are a who’s who of women that are breaking boundaries, CURVY has a uniquely down to earth, community atmosphere that is highly inclusive. CURVY is a great opportunity to rub shoulders with like minded creative souls, make new contacts, as well as friends and colleagues.

Format

CURVY events present a series of talks, workshops, awards, exhibitions & launches, and presents the latest CURVY publications. The forum showcases ideas, tips and insights that give attendees a female perspective of the future trends breaking boundaries in progressive, creative industries at home and abroad.

Featured talent joins the CURVY alumni, an international collective in its thousands. Around these, CURVY cultivates an inspired community - creative, professional women, upwardly mobile and future-focused. The latest generation of outstanding female talent and vision.

CURVY Industry Insider: FUTURE FORWARD
Friday November 3

The CURVY Industry Insider event is all about bringng together progressive thinking creative women and future forecasting what is in store for 2018 and beyond. We ask our panel of proven boundary breakers from design, photography, fashion, publishing, music, technology, commerce, print, digital and social media to “gaze around the creative content corner and tell us what’s happening next”.

On stage we present our latest batch of boundary breakers - undeniably cool girls that have carved out undeniably cool creative careers, their own way, on their own terms. We ask how they have achieved what so many seek, and what they have done to make sure they retain their distinct individuality in an environment where creatives, companies and brands are more connected than ever before.

A key focus to this special industry insider event is also the finance of creativity. Threaded across topics will be approaches for 2018 that will help you to better commercialise your creative skills, how to build a solid financial platform and successful creative career.
